On PC, Forza Horizon 3 will run at an unlocked frame rate with 4K resolution support but there'll be no triple screen support and players can't adjust the field of view.

PC gamers would you still get the game if these issues weren't addressed?

No triple screen support doesn't really affect me so I'm not pissed off about it, I'm happy that they're finally unlocking the frame rate though. I know people with powerful rigs that were on the fence if they were going to buy Horizon 3 because they wanted to run it at 144fps.

I wouldn't have thought that not supporting triple screen would make all that much of a difference for a lot of PC gamers to be honest. The game developers aren't stupid and I be no doubt they will have thought long and hard about this, and they'll have come to the same conclusion.

I guess there are some people who fell in love with "12K" resolution and would be pissed if they don't get the triple screen support.

That said, I don't think too many PC gamers have 3, 4K monitors dedicated solely to gaming.

For the running the 12K games, you will also need a monitor that supports that much resolution. You need to have the combination of high tech gadgets. to enjoy this game. It's good to listen that Forza Horizon is going to have unlocked frame rate. I am waiting for this feature to be implemented.

12K screens are yet to be made. Last year Samsung said they were working on an 11K TV. I don't know what progress they've made so far.

Gamers who want 12K resolution opt for 3 screens each with 4K resolution. Technically it isn't 12K but that's what they call it.

Again I think it comes back to technology that's available, and technology that people can actually afford to buy. I'd imagine that most gamers won't be using the most recent, bang up to date technology that's only just come out. The game developers know this so won't worry too much about making sure the game can use that technology and will be more than happy to limit it to technology that's a couple of years old.

I don't see the problem with the non-adjustable FoV. I've been playing racing games for a while now and I've never had trouble with the default FoV in any of the games I've played.

I read somewhere that 8K resolution for the human eye is close to perfection. Beyond that one wouldn't be able to tell the difference [if an image is sharper, that is]. So once they make 8K screens they'd be no need for 12K screens. And to be honest I think in a few years they'll be quite affordable.

For VR, "AMD wants to see 16K per eye at 144Hz for the optimal VR experience, wants virtually no latency'

Appears to me gaming PCs and video game consoles are going to be quite expensive in the near future.

They might well be more expensive in the future, but again, that doesn't mean that people will actually be able to afford to buy them.

I'm sure we're all excited about the way technology is going, but if we can't afford to buy it, then is there really any point in them showcasing it in the first place.

Meh. The triple screen thing doesn't really bother me, neither does unlocked frame rates because that's been a staple of the Horizon series since day one. The FOV thing is a little annoying and I can imagine even more so for PC players. Why they have not implemented that is beyond me?

I'd imagine the only reason they haven't implemented it is simply because the research they've done tells them that it wasn't a priority to gamers.

While it does seem a little strange to me as well, I'm guessing they thought if their research told them it wasn't needed, then there wouldn't be any point in them adding it in and so they could concentrate on other developments instead.

I can understand that from a development point of view while I can see it from the gamers side as well. Maybe they'll add it with the next Motorsport title and it wasn't seen as needed for Horizon 3 because it's not really a "simulation", more of a fun laid back title.

I'd also rather see it from a gamers point of view as well as after all I am a gamer. I'm just looking for a reason as to why it wasn't included when it is on most other games, but I guess we'll never know and if it goes on to sell well regardless, then their decision will have been justified.
