Yikes. As amazing as that would sound, being able to feel like driving in a real race, I think that's a bit too much. Only lottery winners and spoiled rich kids can even hope of getting that. I think it would even be cheaper to actually do a special access on F1 racing, rent a car, and race through the course for a day, compared to driving a simulated one that wouldn't really let you "feel" the race.
I would love to try it out.. But it's so expensive. I will never be able to afford that.It must be a great feeling to be in one of those, It's almost like you can be in a real car.
Who authorizes these builds? Obviously they have some serious money backing them up. I'm sure a few sales of these can put it back in the black. Some Saudi Prince will order every color made. Two things they will not be able to reproduce is the g forces involved and the force feedback of the steering wheel as it hangs on to the course.
Well, it's very expensive and I think I can't afford it. Let me collect the funds before I buy a device which makes my driving experience real.
I want to try it out but it's very expensive and even if my entire family collects the fund, it would be not enough to buy the stimulator, LOL!
I don't think that anyone will be able to afford it. It's only for billionaires like Bill Gates and Warren Buffett
Not just the billionaires. There are lots of people who were born into money and though they aren't billionaires they wouldn't think that's a lot of money. These are people who can spend hundreds of thousands on jewelry and other things most people can do without. And I'm sure those who built this simulator expect such people to be their customers.

So well . . . spending money on expensive simulators or sim racing accessories won't make that huge a difference.
Realistically there's not many people that are going to be able to afford to pay that for a game, and even if they could afford it I'm still not sure there would be many bring sold. There's a lot of Formula 1 games on the market already, so I'd rather just stick to one of those and save the $239,950 instead!
$240k? Let me check my wallet, I might have some spare change to buy this thing... jk, it's really expensive and you can get a freaking Lambo for this amount of money.
That's actually a pretty good point. Why spend $250,000 on a driving simulator when you can use that money to buy an actual car instead? I might be missing the point, and maybe the millionaires amongst us will be falling over themselves to buy one, but I'll never be in that position so for me its not exactly something I'll be putting on my shopping list.
Maybe they want the feel of a "real" F1 car without having to pay full price for it? A real F1 car costs about $10 M and you'd have to wait a really long time [before buying one] because the cars aren't for sell after the F1 season ends. So maybe if a millionaire [who loves racing] takes a look at the cost they might prefer to buy the simulator because they'd be saving a lot of money.
That might be the case but instead of buying your own F1 car then I'd rather just take part in track events a few times a year. There's many tracks up and down the country that allow you to race on them, either in your own cars or rented ones, and they won't cost anywhere near that sort of money.
It is expensive but it is definitely expensive but it is worth it. Many of my friends have bought it and they say that they feel like driving a real car but you can buy a real car instead of a single gaming simulator.
No matter how much money a person as got, I don't think you can ever say that spending that amount of money on a gaming simulator can ever be worth it or justifiable. Don't get me wrong, I'd like to give it a go just to see what it feels like playing a $250,000 simulator, but that's about as far as it goes.
I could pay for medical school with that kind of money, I don't think I would waste it on a single game. Hopefully as the years go by it will become more affordable, because right now it's a ridiculous sum of money.
I doubt it will get any cheaper. And depending on how many they sale next time anyone wants the simulator they'd probably have to pay first and wait a couple of months for it to be built. If I had that money for an F1 simulator this how I'd spend it: $1,000 for a gaming PC, $1,000 for accessories [wheel, etc] and $600 on a VR headset. I could spend the rest of the money on other things.
