Just proves that as long as you are innovative enough you can make money. This is what game developers should learn from Rocket league's success. Take risks, offer something new to gamers and hope for the best.

It certainly helped that Rocket League was in the previous Humble Monthly bundle as well. I think it definitely deserves its success, the devs have been constantly churning out new updates and gamemodes for the game.

I think that's great for them. They had a goal and they worked hard to make it happen. It has a pretty unique twist to the classic race car games, and I think it was interesting enough to get people talking. I see Rocket League posts from different websites, and I think that really helped them get a visibility going, all the while providing an excellent game, which means the numbers that they have been getting have been well deserved, in my opinion.

Well deserved, Rocket League has been killing it for the past year and it's a really cool game. I think that weekend on PS4 when the game was free is what actually caused people to start playing, that was the kickstart the game needed. Right now it's pretty crazy, it's grown a lot.
