Would Codemasters be releasing a new F1 game this year? Would the sun set in the west? The development studio announced their latest racer this morning, which is scheduled to come to Playstation 4, XBox One and PC later this summer. This time, the big new feature being touted is a ten-year-long career mode (it […] Continue reading...
A 10 year career mode . . . sounds interesting. And as you have different teams to choose from, I wonder how long it would take to complete the game or even get bored if you like the F1 series.
Trust me, you won't get bored, 10 years is nothing when you're really into the game. in FIFA you have a 15-year career mode and that's still too little, only a generation or two of players passes by before you have to retire.
No wonder they keep releasing those FIFA games year after year because they are sure their fans never will get bored of the games. Add some new players, a few improvements and they can collect some cash. I think I'll be getting the next F1 installment next year and find out whether I like the 10 year career mode.
I've never been much of a fan of this series, but I always give it a shot whenever a new one comes out. I'll probably get this one once it's cheap or goes on sale.
It might take a while for it to go on sale. But since a month or two after the games are released you can buy used physical copies of the game, you could buy a used copy of the game and still sell it afterwards [as a used game] if you want to.
EA are crappy and they don't care about offline mode that much anymore, all their revenue comes from Ultimate Team. They removed so many features like press releases, stadium upgrades, meaningful interviews and sponsors and they gave us a broken scout mode and sloppy training, that's not fun.
F1 2016's first game play has been revealed. http://www.vg247.com/2016/06/16/f1-2016-release-date-announced-and-first-gameplay-revealed/ Career booster pack, huh. I wouldn't want a head start in career mode to be honest.
It sounds interesting, and I think they even gave the career mode a bit of twist here and there. Sure, by the looks of it, it's very realistic, and it would probably go well with a simulation rig, but to fully enjoy it, you have to invest on a machine that would probably cost more than an actual car in some places. These racing games are great, and it's a treat if you are a fan, but you wouldn't be able to fully enjoy it with a mouse, a keyboard, or a controller. If you have a driving game, you need a driving simulator rig, and those can fetch quite the penny.
This is probably the reason why people who like arcade racers never get to have much fun when playing sim racing games. Without the accessories that will make you feel like you are actually driving a real car on a real race track, it can be hard to enjoy the games since the game physics make them somewhat harder.
