Been taking a look at some reviews and learned that the game can be really hard if pro physics are enabled as that turns off all aids. This would give the game an arcadey feel robbing it of what makes it feel like the best moto cross game. Just curious, would you turn the aids off just so the game could be easier?
I think it could be fun, if you're truly looking for the most hardcore bike experience out there. But if that's not exactly what you're looking for, I don't think i'd ever consider it. Sometimes playing on the highest difficulty of any game can be extremely frustrating. And a game like this which already seems to be pretty difficult to be good at, it might just make me want to pull my hair out with rider aids off.
Pro physics are pretty hard if you're not used to motorcycle and dirt racing, I turned off all aids to check and I failed miserably. As of now I keep most of them on.
What's the point of realism if you can activate aid whenever you want? I also think that when you fall from your bike, or go off the track, you should have to walk back to the track like a real racer would, instead of being teleported back in your bike and go on with the race. I think that kills the realism, since realism is the very target of these games. If you fall, learn to get up on your own feet, and stop relying on instant teleportation to get things done.
The game is kinda hard with the realism it brings and I think it would be nice to turn aids on. It should be up to you to decide what to use and what not. I've seen this in different simulator games and nobody was mad about it.
In a game like MXGP2 I would start out with aids on, especially if you have not played a simulation like this. As far as physics goes I would not start with professional as it can be kind of a shock to new players, the difficulty, that is.
I personally like to start a game as easily as possible so that I can get a feel for it. Once I am past this point I will switch on all the function to make it more challenging. It's good to hear that it cam become more difficult.
I'd actually like to see what percentage of people out there who can actually play a video game on it's highest difficulty. I just don't think the developers really create hard levels for just about anyone to master with experience playing the game.
I've played mostly without the rider aids on, because in my opinion, it gives the game a more authentic experience. Yes, it makes the game very, very challenging with a high learning curve, but once you master the physics and controls, you'll have an immensely satisfying experience that you wouldn't have with the rider aids. That said, I do think the rider aids are good idea overall as it gives people who might not be that amazing at videogames, or want to enjoy the game at their own pace the ability to do so.
The rider or driver aids in racing games are there for people who find racing without them too hard in my opinion. While I wouldn't say that they spoil the games, I do think that they can take the edge off a game and make it less realistic than it should be. If i was to use the driver aids, then I'd only us them if it was the first time I was playing that game, just to get used to it and then as I wen't on turn them off one by one and see how I fared.
A lot of people play games on the highest difficulty (myself included) but it takes a lot of practice. I've only been able to play FIFA on legendary (highest difficulty) after years of playing.
I don't know how you manage to play the game at highest difficulty. I mean, it is really hard to play the game at highest difficulty. I have never gone above the medium level. I tried it once, but I lost. Can you give me some tips and tricks to play the game in hard mode?
I think the game designers were thinking of that when they created the game. This gives anyone a chance to enjoy it no matter how good or how bad you are.
But should it take year to learn to play on that level? It's a video game, and I'm sure developers know that. I think it's ridiculous, I would love a challenge, especially if I can easily beat the game on easy, or medium, but changing the difficulty to the hardest shouldn't just make the game un-beatable, or a least by only a few masters in the world. I once read that only a few people have beat Pac-Man because after so many levels, it just gets super hard that only the mightiest nerds can win. Not knocking the nerds.
I'd probably play the game as is, and only play with the aid on to unlock anything this is unlockable. I have a habit of doing that. You get more value out of the game that way.
Well, it depends, in FIFA for example there's no skill ceiling and you can improve yourself every single day, you're not really stopping your growth. But yes, I didn't put hours into it every day but it did take me a few years to be able to play the game on Legendary, which is pretty hard.
For how long have you been playing? It's simple to get used to the A.I tactics but if you have trouble at the higher difficulties you can adjust the sliders and see if you like it or not. For the most part I play high pressure attacking football with a lot of one-touch passes, you have to be fast.
There's no doubt that theses days the games have many different options that you can switch on or off to make a game more or less realistic as you want, and I think that this can only be a good thing really. We don't all have the same skill levels and so with a lot of games we need these options to try and make sure that we are all in with a decent chance of succeeding at the game.
I usually turn off any assist in racing games, so I would definitely be turning them off. I always like to go for the best simulation experience even if it is an uphill battle to get used to it sometimes.
