The design is something new, haven't seen anyone try to go this route in the racing franchise. I love the futuristic approach and it's definitely something unique.
It certainly does sound "interesting" but I'd only play the game if someone I know has bought the game. I like real racing games not ones that blend elements from action-adventure genres. I have no doubt though that they'll be fun games.
I'm pretty amused by these racing game titles. It's just a race, but with a twist. Sometimes it's bikes, sometimes it's sports cars, sometimes regular cars, now we have trucks? Who races trucks though? Is that some kind of redneck pastime or something? Who would watch a bunch of behemoths race through a track? Maybe in ice road truckers, but the added danger of being stranded in the icy north would make up for the slow pace. But here, I really don't know.
