When I was young, I always loved playing Street Fighter games. I loved spamming hadouken over and over. Then came Mortal Kombat and I loved that too. Now I am deep into Tekken. I like the combat system and the cast of characters. What about you?
I use to play a lot of Tekken and that was great fun. Only thing is that they do get quite boring and tedious after a while.
I play almost all the fighting games, at least all the famous ones like Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, etc. If I had to choose one as my favorite it probably has to be Tekken. I think all the other fighting games are still great, but at least with Tekken you can just pick it up and play immediately without having to memorize or do complicated moves, so it's very fun to play with friends.
My favorite versus games, are those that are different and have cool characters to choose from. I was also a Tekken fan, as well as a Soul Caliber fan. I also liked to play Mortal Kombat.
@msreebaybay agreed. Although, unfortunately, I don't enjoy some versions of MK as others. I feel they are kind of hit and miss and they get kind of repetitive, but I appreciate that they put in so much effort in each version and you can tell that they really try their best.
I like playing fighting games, especially if it's on LAN and you're playing with your friends and it's more competitive but also way more fun. My favorite game to play with my friends is probably CS:GO because you can play custom competitive maps and have something like 1v1 or 2v2 or 3v3. It's more personal, but way more fun and has loads of tension because you're playing against friends so it has way more tension then playing against someone you don't know. It's loads of fun.
Tekken is my favorite versus game. I tried Soul Calibur and it was great and the characters have different ability or weapos and combos too. Street fighter and Mortal Kombat are a nice fighting games too.
Tekken and Street fighter are my favorites as well in terms of controls and even the characters. I'm not too sure about the redesigns in the new sf though.
Fighting games like Dead or Alive and Street Fighter. Other than that, MOBAs like LoL and DotA help keep me preoccupied as well.
Just in general, I love fighting games. I've played Dead or Alive, Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Soul Calibur, King of Fighters, Guilty gear, and more. I just love games with badass fighters, smooth fighitng mechanics and controls, good visuals, and things like that. My daughter and I have faced off before. She's admittedly pretty good at them.
My favorite fighting game will always be Mortal Kombat. You could say that nostalgia play a huge part since I grew up with Mortal Kombat 4(I know it's the worst out of all the MK games, but I enjoyed it a lot back then). The fatality will always be my favorite part, and I love that they always try to up their gore level in the fatalities with every installment.
I also like this game but admittedly I like only specific versions of it, and the more recent ones I prefer just watching instead of actually playing because the combos have gotten a bit too complex for my taste but it is still very fun thankfully.
My favorite vs game of all time would have to be Marvel vs Capcom 2 for the dreamcast. But if I had to chose one in these modern times it would have to be Tekken and Soul Caliber. They just seem like fair competitive games for both the online player and buddy at home. I'm just glad this concept hasn't been over look yet.
