I remember an old game "Lamborghini" for the N64. It was real boring. Then I went online and saw how many different courses and cars could be unlocked if you beat certain courses within a set time. It was boring because half of the cars and courses had to be unlocked. The courses weren't easy either. Anyway I never bothered with it much. Played it a few times. It was a stocking stuffer I got.
Andrea like one of those generic racing games that companies just used to churn out, or maybe a few of them still do today. I hated those types of games because you always hoped they weren't crap but you'd always get disappointed.
Yeah I remember that game. It was really easy to just get fed up with it and am not the type of person who likes to keep trying over and over and over just to get something. If I cannot pass it with some tries I think the better thing for me is just to give up and move on.
Take a look at the very first gran turismo games, I am talking like GT1 and GT2. Those were some good old fashioned racing games that still hold up to the test of time in my opinion.
I don't remember the name of the game. But I do remember that I played it on NES. It's been quite a bit of time since I've played the NES, so I can't really remember many titles.
I didn't like GT1 that much, but I loved GT2. Of course, they were similar games. GT2 is one of the best racing games ever made, though.
Lol. I think that era was full of gimmicks and experimentation so I'm not too surprised. I don't think I was even into racing games at the time just because there wasn't many to like.
I remember playing games on Nintendo and thinking "wow, it's amazing how good the graphics are". Looking back on it, I feel like it's amazing how far we've come in terms of racing games.
I don't really play any of the old racing games anymore, but I agree with what you said, the old racing games are a history now, and I remember those two that you have mentioned in you're topic.
