Have you noticed the recent change of A list actors that are now on TV? I was wonder why is that? Is the pay better? Or is the work easier? Feel free to share your thought on this subject.
I think it's a combination of TVs switching to widescreen and also the wealth of great tv shows that have been popping up such as 24, LOST, Breaking Bad, and HBO and other cable network originals that has elevated the image of television both with the public and the entertainment industry.
The late Robin Williams was on the TV show 'The Crazy Ones". We are talking about an Academy Award winner here.
There is most definitely nothing wrong with it though. Although the norm is to go from TV to the big screen there are exceptions.
Speaking of the USA Channel just started watching reruns of Monk as I never did see the last couple of seasons.
As every show does the ingenuity has fallen off a bit but there are still some great episodes even after season 7.
Television is a nice break from people who get really bunched up in the whole movie business. Kevin Spacey, a two time Oscar winner, is now the lead actor of House of Cards, in which he does an amazing job. Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson in True Detective are just amazing at what they do and the lead actors for Fargo like Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman are just fantastic. Obviously, there are a lot of lead actors in movies going onto the TV screen and they are doing an astonishing job.
Yep if it were not for Breaking Bad I think McConaughey would have set some type of record for winning an Oscar and Emmy in the same year.
