I was playing Mario Kart on the WII U the other day and I was thinking to myself that I really enjoy the new air and sea thing that they have tried to get into the game. Sometimes to be honest I find it to be loads of fun and it really reminds me of Diddy Kong racing that used to be on the N64. I am wondering do any of you guys enjoy the new addition to Mario Karts?
Yes, major fan of the new additions. Anti-gravity wheels and the neon skid marks it leaves is just pure poetry, I'm telling you.
Not a fan of air racing, but otherwise I think that such goofy additions help to make the game more fresh, unpredictable and fun.
I enjoy the new features very much, because I wanted to see some new features in this Mario Kart and it happened. I love all types of racing in this games and because it is so diverse I like it even more than some other racing games.
Now that I think about, Mario Kart doesn't MAKE racing a chore like on soms racing games or side missions. I ALWAYS hated racing side missions in other games, it was beyond annoying and made me hope and pray that there weren't any for a main quest...Which there were. -.-
The anti - gravity is the best idea nintendo implemented so far in mario kart, in my opinion. Of course, the air and water part also feels great, though that was already introduced in mario kart 7, which where a real cool feature when released.
Well, you didn't miss that much then, only mario kart 7, which wasn't that great, compared to Mario Kart 8 now! I haven't even finished 100CC in mario kart 7 because it really started to bore me after some time, luckily, mario kart wii and mario kart 8 are way more interesting than that.
Yikes. I know that the CCs were always bad, but I didn't know they were that for Mario Kart 7. I'm helping with patches, that Mario Kart will upgrade the features on the battle mode to make it fun again. I miss popping people's balloons. Was one of my favorite pastimes in the other Mario Karts.
I really enjoy the new features as well- it's a lot of silly, chaotic fun which is just what you want from games like this . Who doesn't find anti-gravity fun? Seriously.
I'm definitely a fan of the new additions. I think it's time they moved away from the basics and start really adding on some extra major new features, and that is what they did and to me they have revitalized the franchise once again and I can't wait what they come up with next.
Indeed,I agree, the new things introduced in mario kart 8 really made the game become popular again. The only problem is that mario kart 8 is so well done, nintendo can't do much better on the next mario kart!
This is what I always think of certain games I consider to be almost perfect but the developers always surprise me with their next rendition. I agree that when the games peak as much as they do it is kind of worrying that they end up becoming stale in the succeeding versions though.
Yes, I LOVE the new additions, Mario Kart 8 may be my favorite one so far. Mario Kart 7 was great, and then Mario Kart 8 just blew me away by how perfect it was, mainly because of the new features.
One does not simply call Mario Kart 7 great. The huge amount of glitches was insane, I really thought Nintendo did a bad job on that one actually. Of course, the looks and mechanics were nice, though for the more in depth players, that game was a real fail, with more than 30 big glitches, and over 100 (!) smaller glitches and bugs. But of course, if you play to just race against others, you won't notice it that much, it just that I really love to find and look for glitches, so I noticed how poorly it was done.
Air and sea doesn't add much of a different gameplay approach to the game, so I couldn't care less about that.
I'm a fan of new features of the game. I like crazy race rather than normal race. Adding things make the game more fun.
