Does anyone still play free online games any more? The reason I ask is because a friend and myself started a free online games website a few years ago, but it was a mixture of all different genres. It's not running any more though. I was thinking of maybe starting another one up but it would be just all racing games... That's if there's any good free online racing games out there at the moment.
There are numerous people who still play online racing games. One good reason is that they are free and you don't have to download them onto your PC in order to play them [which is very convenient]. And you then there's variety . . . you can choose from a large number of games, move straight to another game if you find one that you don't find enjoyable. You should give it another try. Get in armed with the knowledge that competition certainly is stiff but whether you'll be successful or not would depend on how you market your site. For those interested in playing racing games online, you'll find the links below helpful: www.agame.com/games/racing www.gamesfreak.net/ www.gamesgames.com/games/racing And there are many more other sites.
I mean they are good for killing time but I have not seen any that are really that engaging. I have played racing games at gamesfreak.net
Another site I play at is http://www.addictinggames.com/car-games/index.jsp but not often. Just to kill time mostly. Not like sitting down to play NFS or GTA obviously.
The last time I played a racing game online was probably on Miniclip, which I think has many racing games available and they're quite fun. You should check it out: http://www.miniclip.com/games/genre-477/racing/en/#t-n-H
Thanks for all the input. Yes there are quite a few out there. What I would do is sub-categorize different types of racing game and they would all be tested first to keep the site as engaging as possible.
NFS World is a nice F2P game that features HD versions of the maps from the older NFS games all integrated into one city and has both SP and MP. It's not on Steam though.
I still play some games online because they are free and they are a great way to burn sometime is you are just waiting on a plane to arrive in an airport or something. They are really fun to play and some of the best ones to me are the ones that I have been able to play on miniclips.com. The games on that websites are really cool and fun.
It's good to know that people are still into these types of games, I thought they had declined in popularity. A website like Miniclip would be fairly easy to set up. The last site was a big learning curve for me but I'm much more prepared to do something like this now.
