I personally thought it was a weak addition to the franchise. The difficulty adaptation system is the only novelty that peaked my interest, but I quickly found out it's just used so the PC can cheat you out of their own AI handicap. On another note: Shouldn't there be a category for F1 2014, since the 2013 game is already outdated? Is there a reason for it still being F1 2013? Is the 2013 game considered better?
The F1 series has pretty much been rehash after rehash of the original game, with very minimal changes other than slight graphics improvements and the additional of a few tracks. Add to that a greatly limited selection of cars, and having to race many times across the same track, and the game quickly becomes boring to most but the diehard fans of the real life sport. I have not been a fan of the game franchise since I first tried F1 2010, I'm honestly surprised that it's successful enough to spawn so many sequels.
I like it but I never got to play the previous version so I don't have anything to compare it to. It is very fun though. The cars handle really well, and the tracks are nice too. I even am able to play it using first person view which I rarely do on racers. The only problem I have with it is that it gets a bit repetitive, but it suppose that has more to do with the sport itself than the video game.
It's definitely an improvement. Although I can't justify paying full price for it, I got it from a dev team member who's a close friend of mine for free I recommend it if it goes on sale.
Would you be more specific? I played for just a bit and hardly noticed any improvements. Do you mean it improved graphically? On another note, would you share if your developer friend has ever gotten you any other freebies? You spiked my curiosity, I just want to measure how lucky you are.
F1 2014 was a fine addition to the series. It's not like it did any more or any less than the other versions of the game. It's like any other franchise - minimal changes from year to year.
It feels perhaps a little empty next to the classic content F1 2013. I hoping for real innovation for F1 2015, I would love if they really pushed the feeling of being a real F1 driver in a F1 bubble.
Not what I was hoping. Got an arcadey feeling. Seems all resources are going into 2015 game. Theres no other f1 14 game to compare lucky for codemasters.
I didn't play it for myself, but as far as I can tell my friends love the F1 2014. They play all the F1 game that come out every year and maybe they're a little biased, but they say that the graphics is better, the handling is better and the AI is improved.
A good addition to the series that added a few good things, but you can't expect anything drastic from the previous game. That's just the way things go with these games, but you've got to be happy with what you can get, they're making things better, one way or another.
If you're into the F1 series, I'm sure this game is fun. If you like it, but not that much, you'll hate this game / copy, since it hasn't gotten much mayor new things except for like 2 tracks and slightly better graphics.
Yes, there isn't that much of a difference, but I love the series since F1 2009, and each incremental improvement adds up to make a much improved game.
There has only been a slight change in the graphics but generally it's still the same game with new additional tracks.I would definitely recommend it.
I honestly think that f1 2014 was a great addition to the f1 series. When i win a race in f1 2014 i feel like i actually accomplished something, idk it might just be the immersion lol. The physics i felt were kind of worked on i could take turns way faster and control my race cars way better. One thing that did bug me a lot was the player shaking ugh, you have no idea how much i hate that.
