I always find myself turning off the radio while just driving around and enjoying the city. Those radio tracks have just repeated in my head way too many times. I feel that turning the radio off allows me to focus on the actual world rather than immerse myself in the repetitiveness. Does anyone else do this?
Actually me and my husband hardly ever actually listen to the music on the game anyway, because like you said the songs are repetitive. When we want to listen to music we usually use his flash drive with music on it. But that's normally when were racing or doing missions, we usually don't listen to it in free roam either. But I usually keep the volume down on my television anyway because we have 2 x boxes and 2 televisions side by side to play on.
I do just because I feel like I get unfocused when I play when the music is on. I don't turn it on that often anyways.
I only turn it off when playing online. I like to hear the conversations other people are having. It also lets me know if someone is trying to creep up on me.
Back in Vice City, I turned off the radio every time because it was so repetitive. I think I finished less than 10 missions before the loops drove me crazy. Now this isn't a problem anymore (thank goodness for larger memory) so I leave it on unless I want to listen to my own music.
I still keep the radio station on. I'm not as irritated by it as everyone else is. I constantly keep it on Radio Mirror Park. I absolutely love the songs on there.
I always love the songs in every GTA game and I rarely turn off the radio, I usually just change the station if I get bored of the songs on one. In older GTA games I kept it on the talk radio station because they are usually hilarious, I can't say the same about the GTA V talk show though.
Same, although I still thought that the GTA5 talk shows were funny. In any case, I'm not as annoyed as everyone else is by the repetition of the radio tracks. It's kind of like real life.
That's a good idea. To make sure your friends don't blindsight you. I'd do the same thing if I played online. I still haven't gotten the chance to do that yet. I know, I'm very late.
I often just turn on the radio in real life and mute the radio in the game. I got bored of the tracks and decided to listen to my own stuff. I don't like driving without any music on at all though, not in games and not in real life too. I always keep the volume down though to pay enough attention to the road.
The talk show in GTA V is amusing, but it's not as funny as the one in GTA III and San Andreas in my opinion. It's probably because I loved the Lazlo show callers and their outrageous stories and that sort of became Lazlo arguing with some chick.
I tend to like the radio, especially the talk show. I'd agree that it was better in previous games, though. The radio doesn't really bother me during play, so it's easier to just find something worth listening to.
I suppose I can understand that, but I don't get tired of things as easily as others, I guess. Still, I agree about not being as comfortable driving without music. I don't really like complete silence when driving in games.
I mean, yes it was better in the previous GTAs, but I still found them funny. I think in GTA5, they focused more on the humor between the characters. The dialogue is amazing, so I guess I'm fine with the radio talk show, being a tad weaker in hilarity.
I do this when I've heard the songs enough and am getting tired of them. If the game is new and fresh to me then I much rather have the radio on while roaming, but once I get too familiar with it I just shut it off before I get annoyed with it.
I guess it depends on the song for me. If it's a song I really like, I can listen to it over and over. Radio Mirror Park hasn't gotten on my nerves yet.
Same here, sort of... Lol. The only problem when I do that is I tend to run the songs I like into the ground, and especially so if I really really like the song - enough to play it outside the game, which is what sometimes causes me to get tired of it much faster.
I only listen to Radio Mirror Park. It has the best tracks out of all the stations. However, if I don't feel like listening to Mirror Park, I turn the radio off because the songs are so repetitive they are getting on my nerves, making me stop playing the game.
I never turn the radio off, because I like the music in GTA. If there is a song playing that I don't like, then I just change the radio station. Driving around with no music in your car just doesn't feel right, I'm used to listening to radio while I roam around the city or around it. I know that the songs are repetitive, but that doesn't really bother me in any way.
