Is the game worth it or should I wait? I've heard a lot of good things about the game and love the series, but I've also heard a lot of bad. Apparently a lot of the cars are DLC cars, is this true? I want to know if the game is worth it before buying it, otherwise I might get Forza Horizon 2 first.
Could you please explain why I should wait for Horizon 2? I'm biased towards Fora 5 at the moment because of the fact that I love good simulation games and need a cheap racing game with many cars.
I just played the Demo for horizon 2, it's a pretty cool game. I like the feel of the game, Realistic handle, looks like this game is worth the price tag. I haven't played any of the other Forza games so I can't compare them.
Oh, you just reminded me, there should be a Horizon 2 Demo on Xbox 360. I'll check it out as soon as I can. I've been wanting to try the first person view for awhile now. I've been wanting a good game to drift in, GTAV's cars just don't hold their drift most times I try.
I haven't had much experience with Forza 5, but the small experience I DID have, I can tell you it's a great game and I loved playing it on my friend's console, but: I think you should get Forza Horizon, I think it's just a much better game than Forza 5. The feel of it is just great and the game is worth the price definitely.
You should search for it on youtube, and if you still can't make your mind, borrow it from a friend/rent it.
I prefer Forza horizon personally but it's all subjective. I agree with glacial doom it's best to just try it out for yourself or maybe check some reviews or footage before you make your decision.
As of now it's a pretty dated game, I'd buy it only on discount. It's probably best to wait for Horizon 2 as people have stated.
I know this thread is kind of old but I thought I'd chime in with an opinion if somebody's also wondering about purchasing the game. I personally like it, but it's pretty dated and there are better alternatives like Forza Horizon. If you can get it for cheap then sure, go ahead.
The Forza series is good and I personally like it a little more than it's main competitor. If anyones deciding about buying it then it might be best to wait until the new one comes out so you're up to date and can get the best of the online experience. As for most cars being DLC, well, people behind the game release a car pack every month or so that contains 6 or 10 cars and is priced at about $10. The games usually ship with a couple of hundred cars and the DLC packs add about 20-30 more cars to the game.
It is worth buying used on Amazon. It is totally a great purchase if you buy it used. You can also try to find it on a game swapping site like Listia. I have gotten some games on the cheap there.
You can buy it for now on Amazon for the same as you can get it used so if anyone does decide to buy it it makes sense to get it new (at least to me anyway). But it's all about Forza 6 now anyway
You can buy it for sale a lot of the time, so I say you should pick it up at some point due to the perfect mix of realism and arcade style driving. It's not too hardcore to be discouraging to new players, and not too easy or casual to get hardcore steering wheel warriors leave the game.
I think I might just go for that. I have a bit of spending money and I'm not sure what to get right now. Debating the Storm island DLC for Horizon 2 aswell.
I didn't get the storm Island DLC but from what people have said it seems to be pretty great. Especially if you like off-roading, huge jumps and custom rally cars. As for the Motorsport series I would get Forza 6 now if you're considering it.
I've considered 6 but at the moment it's out of my budget. May just grab it around the holidays with storm island.
Yeah that's a good call I'd say. It's bound to have a price drop when we get closer to the holidays. You won't be disappointed I can assure you.
