I want the next racing game to have an outer space track. It would be really interesting to race in outer space. Most of the racing games contain the scenes of the planet earth but I am bored of it. I would like to race on Mars. I hope the developers would work on that.
I think if racing games had more games like twisted metal, racing games would be more interesting. But, adults do not really have time to play games. Unless it's a part of our job.
I think that the location is the most demanded feature. Almost all the games feature roads for driving the car but there are a few games that feature underground tunnels along with the main roads for racing. I would like a game to have a new location. Underground tunnels and flyovers should be added to the game.
It would be interesting to implement the outer space location but that does not sounds realistic. A standard game needs to be realistic in order to be successful. I am not saying that exact law of physics should be implemented to the game but a little should be added.
Well VR is undoubtedly going to be the next big thing when it comes to racing games, but I do think that the game developers also have to look at variety of tracks available. It seems that in all the racing games, it's the same courses around the world that are officially licensed and I think it's time a developer pulled their wallet out of their pocket and paid what the course wants just so it can be replicated in a game. We've all driven around Laguna Seca, Monza and Silverstone enough now, lets drive around the other famous courses as well.
Well I certainly like the idea of getting some of these other courses on the games instead of the ones that we have all raced already countless times, like @pwarbi mentioned. When it comes to what I expect, though, I think that most of them will be simulator like games and I am betting we will be seeing a lot more wheel-like controllers.
It will take more than a year: VR "needs to hit 16K resolution to match Retinal resolution." At the moment the best Graphic cards can offer is 4K resolution. So it will take a while before we can get true immersion. Three years? More? Depends on how soon more powerful GPUs will be made.
What if they made an advanced version of street view in it? We could have a world wide racing game. Think about it, that technology already exists with google earth, that would be insane.
Well I did just respond to a post about virtual reality, so I would have to say that I would love to see some virtual reality racing games or simulations. I think that those probably exist more so than other types of games, but I am guessing that there is still room for improvement and I would be curious to see what they have in mind, the developers that is. I guess we shall wait and see. Thanks for sharing.
There already are a few sim racing games that are compatible with VR: Live For Speed Project Cars Asseto Corsa Dirt Rally iRacing Euro Truck 2 Gran Turismo Sport Driveclub VR And many racing games that will be released from now on will be VR-compatible.
There will always be a heavy preference for fun over realism when it comes to gaming. When you are able to have the two factors exist in harmony. That is when you have something special that will do more than the basic racer game.
I also prefer it when they add more goals than just finishing first. I tend to get bored with classic racing games and they all start seeming the same to me unless they have extra features that make the game really stand out.
I think more game developers should have some sort of forum, where they ask gamers what they want in a game. If they know what gamers really want and they deliver it (even as DLC) it's more money they'll be making. Apparently though more and more tracks are what gamers want.
I would love to play VR racing game and I think that racing cannot be more realistic than VR. I was wondering that how would the gaming with VR. I heard that Need For Speed and GTA team is going to launch some VR version so it would a great source of to play such game.
I agree with John Flaming that VR racing game would be perfect for the future. It would be more realistic and more entertaining. I would love to play a racing game on VR but I am curious that how I would have to control it.
I agree with this idea. This what called a realistic racing game. There could be more features to introduce in any racing game and it would make it different from other game.
Although I don't play racing car games that much, VR racing is definitely worth the try because I think the gaming experience would be totally cool.
I hope they find something like the space games. And that would be worth thinking about. I am sure you can definitely find some really good options on that. But developers are limited with funding so they come up with what funds can do.
now racing game has been converted to offroad, adventures and action. i think in racing game fighting with each other is most extremely good idea
