You are right but we need a very high memory and high-rig computer that most people can't afford.

Yes, I think ps2 emulators are not that easy to run for some reason. I've never tried it myself but I think it does require a high powered computer whereas most other console emulators don't need as much power.

I think if you want a realistic racing experience, that video games are in a good spot right now. I think there's always room for improvement in graphics and controls, of course. I can't wait to see what happens with the new Virtual Reality stuff. Maybe we could get some really cool racing games, and it'll be the experience like you're actually there, holding the wheel, and everything.

It's interesting that people are bringing up the technology aspect of it, and you've got every reason to do so. While a game might 've realistic, if you've not got the right, and most powerful equipment, these games are still going to look and play like they always have done and you won't see much of a difference.

I think that the racing games have changed a lot over the years and they have got too realistic. Almost all the games released nowadays are equipped with a better interface, higher graphics. So, I think they are enough realistic at the moment.

You are right. Every developer company is competing with other companies out there. They want to release the best in the make to make money and to earn reputation. That is why they are making these awesome game. I don't think it would be wrong to say that the games are realistic.

They are getting close but there's a limit. They will come close to realistic [thanks to VR] but there are some things which can't be replicated and those are what will make the games fail to be 100% realistic. To get that feel one needs more accessories — motion simulators.
    Pretty expensive though.

I think racing games are real enough. You do not need to upgrade anything. But, if they do not make games like Gran Turismo, the only game I will buy is Gran Turismo. They need to make more games that are real world racing.

Forza and Gran Turismo do seem to be dominating the racing genre at the moment and even with new games such as Project Cars and Drive Club being released there isn't that much competition out there.

Racing games are a specific genre, and the software developers seem to be more interested in making games they know will sell well instead of catering for us racing fans unfortunately, and I can't see that changing anytime soon either.

Yeah, they're definitely realistic, we're at a point where all the improvements to a game's realism are minor at best. Things like dynamic weather and how the car reacts to it are the newest ideas to improve the realism of the games, and it's very exciting.

I think your right, and as far as the actual cars go, there's not a great deal more that can be done to make it even more realistic, so the game developers are concentrating on the tracks and other elements of the game.

Weather as been an issue in the past and now with the Introduction of dynamic and even virtual weather, that's being addressed aswell now. Now you can even race in the exact weather that's at that race track at the moment which adds another step of realism.

Virtual reality is going to be great for racing games. But it will take a couple of years before we get VR hardware that's cheap and delivers an immersive experience that feels pretty real so I'm certain gaming developers won't be focusing much on VR at the moment. Only the more popular titles will be VR compatible I suppose.

That is an awesome feature and yes, realistic racing games can only do so much.

I think graphics is definitely improved. and many people seem to be making the most out of those with the leagues and tournaments. so companies are putting money too.

    Most racing games are realistic.
I really like playing Burnout 1 & 2. GTA is also one of the best.

I think graphics is yet to progress much ahead. But I'd say that some of the time graphics and soundtracks earn the most respect when new games are out. I hope that in near future things would definitely change with the racing games.

There is always room for improvement and I feel like the graphics will always be there, and I would like to see more of the background graphics keep improving. Makes it feel more real for me.
