The game looks good but it looks way too arcade like for my taste. I like games like forza and i racing. The reason i'm interested in this game is the cars, huge map and the fact that it's a racing mmo like test drive unlimited. The customization does look like it's lacking a lot tho lol, anyways let me know what you guys think of the game!
Based on what you like about the game, then I'd say go ahead and get it. You'll more than likely enjoy it.
I think the game is worth checking out.Though the scenery looks a bit outdated,it has a nice collection of cars and the topography is amazing.I give it a thumbs up.
Hmm i see guys well thanks, i guess i'll just get it off steam during the sales If i don't get this game i'll just wait for project cars. So far that game looks pretty amazing in my opinion, the graphics, physics etc. damn i just can't wait for it lol.
It's one of the better racing titles of this year, I would recommend getting it, or maybe wait for a complete pack if you really want to get all the DLC.
I think it's likely that you will enjoy it. It doesn't seem extremely arcade-y to me and I'm sure there are some elements that are similar to Forza here that you will enjoy. Though, if not for the big map I'm thinking Drive Club would probably be closer to your taste.
Hmm i see, i guess ill have a look at Drive Club before anything else. Who know's it might be my next favorite racing game.I do play mostly on the PC but if a good game comes out for consoles that i like i'll def get it.
Well, the game has that classic, friendly vibe if you get what I'm saying. If that's your thing, then by all means get it. (Maybe try it first using some *ehem* methods *ehem*)
The Crew is the best racing game for me this year. The game is absolutely amazing and the graphics too. And as for Driving Club, it has issues and I think you should not buy this one yet.
It's pretty cool in an arcade sort of way, but best racing game of the year? I really don't know about that. Especially given the fact that, holy shit, Forza Horizon 2 and Project Cars exists.
Yeah it definitely seems like Drive Club is a bit more geared towards realism and basic mechanics. I myself am a bit tired of the basic mechanics and graphics don't do much for me either so I'm more leaning towards The Crew.
If you have friends to play with then definitely get it. It is a hell of a lot of fun when playing with others. I think if you were to play it solo then it may get boring pretty quickly. There aren't anywhere near as many cars as they said there would be but there is still a nice selection. If you like just driving down an open road without much direction and a lot of freedom then this is definitely a game for you. If you have some friends then even better.
I am a huge fan of the graphics in The Crew. I think it's definitely one of the more graphic intensive racing games out there because it really lets you be inside the racing world.
Well, I would definitely check it out. In my opinion, it makes the Forza series look like a mobile game (Forza's still great, though). I don't really see the arcade aspect that you mentioned - it is easily a full game by itself. The graphics are pretty well done, which is a nice. The biggest thing about the game that's worth mentioning is how it sets itself apart from other games. It's got a ton of new things that make the game more than just a racing game, and a real plot, although it's not the best. Overall , it's kind of like the driving part of GTA, but more in-depth. Recommend looking into it.
I don't find the Crew to be a very "Arcedey" facing game, in my opinion its highly enjoyable, really easy to just get lost in the achievement events you find on the map and the driving/handling depends on what type of car you're in.
Wait for it to go on sale for at least 20$. I don't think that this game is worth more than that, hell, it would do way better as a free to play game, but even then I would feel ripped off if I played it.
The Crew wasn't that great at launch, but I feel as though the game is getting better, even as more and more players abandon the game. It's gotten a lot of support, updates, and DLC in the past few months, so I'm recommending it more than I originally did.
Still with the Summer sale approaching I'd say having some patience might pay off. Who knows, they might come with a new, more complete DLC offering.
That's what I'm counting on, some kind of discount, then I'd might jump on it. It looks like an entertaining game, but I wouldn't pay full price for it.
I agree with the rest of the posters in this thread. The Crew just isn't great enough to warrant a full price purchase, but if you can find it cheap in a sale it might be worth your time and money. I really hope it keeps improving, as it had some really good ideas.
